Fall break 2025: Thursday, November 27 – Friday, November 28
Below are Fall Break hours of operation and options for care for Student Health and Well-Being services and programs.
Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)
Wednesday, November 26: CAPS is open.
The CAPS Central Office in Galbraith Hall (Suite 190) is open. Walk-in hours close at 3 p.m.
Thursday, November 27-Sunday, November 30: CAPS is closed
Students can be directed to:
- After-Hours Crisis Counseling (ProtoCall) at (858) 534-3755, select option #2. Includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- 988 for the National Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (24/7 Support)
- It’s Up to Us SD: Access & Crisis Line (888) 724-7240 or Live Chat.
- Crisis Text Line: Text HOME to 741741 from anywhere in the USA, anytime, 24/7 or message in What’sApp.
- Mental Health Services When Residing Internationally or Outside California
- For life-threatening emergencies, please call 911 or go to the nearest Emergency Room
Monday, December 1: CAPS reopens with regular business hours
Student Health Services (SHS)
Wednesday, November 26: SHS is open (8 a.m. to 4 p.m.).
Thursday, November 27-Friday, November 28: SHS is closed.
Students can be directed to:
- SHS Nurse Advice Line at (858) 534-3300 (24/7), select option for nurse advice.
- LiveHealth Online for telehealth appointments
- UCSD Express Care for telehealth and in-person appointments
- UCSD Urgent Care La Jolla for in-person care
- For life-threatening emergencies, please call 911 or go to the nearest Emergency Department
- Note: Students should plan to pick up any medications at the SHS pharmacy prior to 11/27 or ask providers to send new prescriptions to a local pharmacy if needed urgently.
Saturday, November 29: SHS telehealth available (10 a.m. - 3 p.m.).
Monday, December 1: SHS reopens with regular business hours (8 a.m. to 6 p.m.).
Triton CORE
Wednesday, November 26: Triton CORE is available during regular hours of operation, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- If student is experiencing a behavioral health crisis, please reach out to CAPS Line, (858) 534-3755, to see if their needs can be triaged at the outpatient setting.
- If student requires in-person assessment from Triton CORE, please call UCPD Non-Emergency Line at (858) 534-4357.
Thursday, November 27-Sunday, November 30: Triton CORE is not operational.
- Students’ mental health needs may be triaged by the After-Hours Crisis Counseling (ProtoCall) at (858) 534-3755, select option #2.
- If student requires in person assessment by law enforcement, please call UCPD Non-Emergency Line at (858) 534-4357.
- If the concern rises to the level of an emergency, please call 911.
Monday, December 1: Triton CORE reopens with regular hours of operation, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
During the closure, students can be directed to:
- After-Hours Crisis Counseling (ProtoCall) at (858) 534-3755, select option #2. Includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
