Below are the Summer 2026 hours of operation and options for care for Student Health and Well-Being services and programs in Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), Health Promotion Services (HPS), Student Health Services (SHS), Triton CORE, UC SHIP and Medical Records.

We are Moving!

Starting July 14, Student Health and Well‑Being and its departments will transition from their current locations to the new Triton Health and Wellness Building at 9520 Gilman Drive, La Jolla, CA 92093. Visit Triton Health and Wellness Building for more information.

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)

June 15—September 20: CAPS open with an adjusted schedule (*note location change) 

  • CAPS Central Office is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday thru Friday, for in-person appointments and Urgent Care walk-ins 
    • CAPS Central location until July 3: Galbraith Hall, Suite 190
    • CAP Central will be virtual only July 6–14 
    • *Starting July 15, CAPS Central will be located at the new Triton Health and Wellness Bldg, 9520 Gilman Drive, La Jolla, CA 92093 
  •  After hours, students can be directed to the following:

July 3: Closed in observance of the holiday 

September 7: Closed in observance of the holiday 

Health Promotion Services (HPS)

June 15—September 20: HPS open with an adjusted schedule for some services and programs 

Starting July 14, HPS services in-person will be at the new Triton Health and Wellness Bldg, 9520 Gilman Drive, La Jolla, CA 92093

  • HPS individual appointments available — self-schedule via MyStudentChart
  • STRIDE consultations open — reach out to stride@health.ucsd.edu
  • Collegiate Recovery consultations: reach out to collegiaterecovery@health.ucsd.edu
  • Condom Concierge closed June 15–July 13, reopens July 14 in new Triton Health and Wellness Building. Condom Cart available in Student Health through July 2, reopens July 14 in the new building
  • Naloxone Distribution: email hps@health.ucsd.edu for a pickup appointment
  • The Zone student lounge in Price Center Plaza
    • Closed June 15 through Summer Session 1
    • Reopens Summer Session 2 on August 3 through September 3
    • Closed September 8–23

Student Health Services (SHS)

June 15—September 20: SHS services are open with an adjusted schedule 

  • SHS is open for in-person and telehealth visits 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Mo, Tu, We, and Fr, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Th
  • No extended in-person hours on Mondays
  • No extended telehealth hours for evening and weekend telehealth appointments
  • No extended telehealth hours for evening and weekend telehealth appointments
  • July 3–13: SHS services close for move to Triton Health and Wellness Bldg 
    • Students can still call SHS front desk staff for scheduling appointments or questions or call the SHS Advice Nurse for acute injury/illness questions.
    • July 2: Last date Optometry and Nurses Clinic open until new building opens
    • July 3: All services closed in observance of the holiday
    • July 7: Last date of SHS Urgent Care and in-person Reproductive Health, Primary Care, Lab and X-ray services
    • July 9: Last date for Pharmacy
  • Note: Starting July 14, all in-person services will be at the new Triton Health and Wellness Bldg, 9520 Gilman Drive, La Jolla, CA 92093. All above services will resume on July 14.

Triton CORE

June 15— September 20: Triton CORE available 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. 

Note: Triton CORE will remain fully operational during the transition to the Triton Health and Wellness building on July 14. Because our services are field-based, we will continue to meet students wherever they are on campus and provide in-person support as needed. 

  • Services Available 
    • For all urgent mental health concerns, students should contact Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) at (858) 534-3755. After hours, select Option 2 
    • Depending on the level of concern, students may access:
      • An urgent care visit
      • A follow-up appointment with established provider
      • Evening safety planning with Protocall service
      • If indicated, an in-person assessment by the Triton CORE Team 
    • Triton CORE team can also be reached for consultation or potential in-person assessments by calling the UCPD Non-Emergency Line at (858) 534-4357. Please relay your concerns to dispatch and request Triton CORE
    • If a student requires an in-person law enforcement assessment due to imminent risk, call UCPD Non-Emergency at (858) 534-4357
    • If the situation is an emergency, call 911 immediately

UC SHIP and Medical Records

June 15— September 20: UC SHIP and Medical Records are open

  • Medical Records in person, walk-ins from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • UC SHIP services available by email ship3@ucsd.edu, phone call (858) 534-2124 or Zoom (Monday, Wednesday and Fridays, 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.)
  • Note: Starting July 14, in-person and walk-ins will be at the new Triton Health and Wellness Bldg, 9520 Gilman Drive, La Jolla, CA 92093
