Research Proposal Evaluation Process
This application initiates the formal submission and evaluation process for research proposals involving Student Health and Well-Being (SHW) at UC San Diego.
The purpose of this process is to ensure that all proposed research aligns with SHW’s commitment to ethical, secure, and responsible clinical and data practices, while prioritizing student privacy, safety, and well-being. Proposals will be reviewed for fairness, equity, and transparency in accordance with UC San Diego policies and guidance from the Offices of the Executive Vice Chancellor, Research and Innovation, Institutional Review Board (IRB), Health Sciences, and Student Affairs and Campus Life.
Researchers submitting proposals through this application should be prepared to demonstrate:
- Compliance with UC San Diego institutional policies and procedures
- Ethical handling of student data and clinical practices
- A clear potential for transformative impact on student health and well-being
