Join Student Health and Well‑Being to raise awareness of the impact of eating disorders across individuals. This week will include exciting activities meant to create discussion about our relationships with food and our bodies.
Nutrition Myth Busters for Scholar Athletes | 8:30–10 a.m., Spanos
Join CAPS and the Scholar Athlete Team to make a DIY trail mix and learn how to fuel your body as an athlete!
Beyond the Mirror: Clothes, Crafts, and Coming Home to Your Body | 2–3:30 p.m., Thich Nhat Hanh Room
Please join CAPS and STRIDE for a clothing drive encouraging letting go of garments that no longer serve you. This clothing drive supports a community where everyone can access clothing that affirms comfort, dignity, and authenticity. Bodies are not meant to be molded to fit clothes—clothes are meant to fit bodies. Please donate clean, gently used clothing to support our Gender Euphoria Closet. Crafts and snacks provided!
Intuitive Eating Workshop | 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., The Zone
Interested in learning more about nourishing your body and reducing food guilt? Join CAPS, SHS, HPS, and the UC San Diego Eating Disorders Center for an intuitive eating workshop. Intuitive eating is a self‑care approach to nutrition that emphasizes listening to your body’s hunger, fullness, and satisfaction cues rather than following external diet rules or restrictions.
If you find yourself struggling with your body image, know that we have support on campus. The SHW Eating Disorders Program is here to help. We also have a weekly RISE Workshop (Restorative Movement) to create a space to build a positive relationship with movement, and a Community Connections hour for students to support each other in their health journey from eating disorders.
